Larry "Batman" Perez, 52, a native of Dallas and long time resident of Grand Prairie, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at his residence.

Larry was born on September 21, 1957, the 4th of 8 children born to Larry Sanchez and Espiranza Vargas. He was born and raised on the west side of Dallas and moved to Grand Prairie in 1991.

He had a love for music and worked many years as a private disc jockey, playing for weddings and various receptions. After he became disabled, his love for music would still drive him to mix and record discs that he would take to assorted venues. He was a skilled music mixer, and had many fans and friends because of his talents.

He is survived by his wife, Elida Gutierrez; children, Lisa Perez-Isaac, Julian Perez, Stephanie Perez; grandchildren, Jasmanie, Angelina, Alazey, Alissa; siblings, Rick Perez, George Perez, Juan Perez, Joe Perez, Jessica Perez, Diana Barron and Don Barron;

Visitation: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 East Main Street, Grand Prairie where funeral services will be conducted at 11. A private family committal will occur at a later date.
